Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Jēzus sacīja viņai: Es esmu augšāmcelšanās un dzīvība: kas uz mani tic, lai arī viņš būtu nomiris, dzīvos.

He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it.

Jo mēs kristībā līdz ar Viņu esam apbedīti nāvei, lai, kā Kristus caur Tēva godību uzcēlās no miroņiem, tāpat arī mēs dzīvotu atjaunotajā dzīvē.

⁵⁴Bet kad šeit mirstīgais būs tērpies nemirstībā, tad piepildīsies vārdi, kas rakstīti: Nāve ir aprīta uzvarā. ⁵⁵Nāve, kur ir tava uzvara? Nāve, kur ir tavs dzelonis?

⁵And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more. ⁶And he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed: ⁷For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf. ⁸And his brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words. ⁹And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me. ¹⁰And he told it to his father, and to his brethren: and his father rebuked him, and said unto him, What is this dream that thou hast dreamed? Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth? ¹¹And his brethren envied him; but his father observed the saying.

Bet kamēr viņš par to domāja, lūk, Kunga eņģelis parādījās viņam sapnī, sacīdams: Jāzep, Dāvida dēls, nebīsties pieņemt savu sievu Mariju, jo kas viņā iedzimis, ir no Svētā Gara.

If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,

So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

¹To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: ²A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

Svētīgi ir lēnprātīgie, jo viņi iemantos zemi.

¹⁸And it came to pass on the seventh day, that the child died. And the servants of David feared to tell him that the child was dead: for they said, Behold, while the child was yet alive, we spake unto him, and he would not hearken unto our voice: how will he then vex himself, if we tell him that the child is dead? ¹⁹But when David saw that his servants whispered, David perceived that the child was dead: therefore David said unto his servants, Is the child dead? And they said, He is dead. ²⁰Then David arose from the earth, and washed, and anointed himself, and changed his apparel, and came into the house of the Lord, and worshipped: then he came to his own house; and when he required, they set bread before him, and he did eat. ²¹Then said his servants unto him, What thing is this that thou hast done? thou didst fast and weep for the child, while it was alive; but when the child was dead, thou didst rise and eat bread. ²²And he said, While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept: for I said, Who can tell whether God will be gracious to me, that the child may live? ²³But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.

³Vai jūs nezināt, ka mēs visi, kas esam kristīti Jēzū Kristū, esam kristīti Viņa nāvē? ⁴Jo mēs kristībā līdz ar Viņu esam apbedīti nāvei, lai, kā Kristus caur Tēva godību uzcēlās no miroņiem, tāpat arī mēs dzīvotu atjaunotajā dzīvē.

³Jo jūs mirāt, bet jūsu dzīvība līdz ar Kristu apslēpta Dievā. ⁴Kad parādīsies Kristus, jūsu dzīvība, tad arī jūs parādīsieties godībā līdz ar Viņu.

Pārbaudiet paši sevi, vai esat ticīgi, pārbaudiet sevi! Vai jūs sevī neatzīstat, ka Kristus ir jūsos? Ja nē, tad jūs esat neuzticīgi.

¹The hand of the Lord was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones, ²And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry. ³And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord God, thou knowest. ⁴Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord. ⁵Thus saith the Lord God unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live: ⁶And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the Lord. ⁷So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone. ⁸And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them. ⁹Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord God; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live. ¹⁰So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army. ¹¹Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts. ¹²Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. ¹³And ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves, ¹⁴And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the Lord have spoken it, and performed it, saith the Lord.

²⁵I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed. ²⁶How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart; ²⁷Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal. ²⁸The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the Lord.

¹⁰There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, ¹¹Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. ¹²For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

⁶Neraizējieties ne par ko, bet jūsu lūgšanas un aizlūgumi lai nāk Dieva priekšā; visā pateicībā izsakiet savu vēlēšanos Viņam! ⁷Un Dieva miers, kas pārspēj visu saprašanu, lai pasarga jūsu sirdis un jūsu domas Jēzū Kristū!

Ja kādam no jums trūkst gudrības, lai izlūdzas to no Dieva, kas visiem dod bagātīgi un bez pārmetumiem, un tā viņam tiks dota.

³⁸Es esmu drošs, ka ne nāve, ne dzīvība, ne eņģeļi, ne valdības, ne varas, ne tagadējais, ne nākamais, ne spēki, ³⁹Ne augstums, ne dziļums un neviena cita radība nespēs mūs šķirt no Dieva mīlestības, kas ir mūsu Kungā Jēzū Kristū.
